Family is of utmost importance to Latinos, with a strong emphasis placed on its role as the primary source of identity and protection against life's challenges. This sense of belonging is intense and typically reserved for close family and friends. Despite this close-knit culture, Hispanic/Latino people in the United States have historically faced racial, ethnic, and anti-immigrant prejudice, including discrimination in areas such as employment, housing, and education. Through this tee, we hope to bring attention to the injustices and hardships that our families continue to face daily in the U.S., while emphasizing the enduring importance of family ties.
